Problem

Galore Lunch is a free mobile app which gives the user lunch alternatives in his or hers chosen city (so far only Malmö is available). Connected to the app is a web-based back-end where restaurant owners can log in and add their lunch dishes. The problem was that the back-end was not very intuitive and many restaurant owners stated the wrong details at the wrong place. Galore also wanted to add more functionality to their app and release it on the Windows platform.

Solution

Cenito developed a new web solution with helps of HTML5, CSS and AngularJS which is more intuitive and easier to use for a stressed out restaurant owner. With the new back-end it is now possible to log in and edit restaurant menus both on desktop, tablet and smartphone since the site is made completely responsive. At the same time the Galore lunch iOS and Android app has been updated with new features and an all new app for Windows phone has been published. Cenito used Xamarin Studios to be able to develop on all plattorms simultaneously. With the new features added to the updated apps it is now possible to filter on different city regions as well as distances, filter on categories and the ability to mark favorites has also been added.

Result

With the new back-end it is now much more easier for restaurant owners to add their lunch dishes to the service since the site is responsive and available on all platforms. Restaurant owners can add todays lunch dishes when they are on the go in their iPhone or on an ipad while standing in the kitchen. At the same time Galore can spend less time on helping customers using the service and focus on more important issues. The consumers using the app will increase since it has now been made available on Windows Phone and with the ability to mark restaurants as favorites it is now an app that can be used on a daily basis.
